Introduction
HIWCBA - Organises the following ongoing competitions:
1 League Teams of Four.
Subject to the entry numbers, the league will be organised into 3 divisions with
the 3rd division split geographically to avoid excessive travelling.
Players in Division 1 must all be PRIME members of HIWCBA and the winners will qualify
to represent the County in the EBU Pachabo Cup competition..
2 Cahalan Cup
Knock-out teams of four. Green points are awarded for all rounds. Regionalised early
rounds (to avoid excessive travel times) in particular this facilitates an Isle of
Wight region, whose matches will be played at a mainland port venue when the possibility
of having island-only matches is exhausted. Seeding of (probably) 8 teams into a
later round (to ensure that teams will not face the strongest teams in the early
rounds).
The existing Cahalan Plate competition will be continued so that every team (except
the seeded teams) plays in at least two matches for their entry fee.
Regulation to ensure that the matches can be played during the week (to maximize
the convenient opportunities for play).
3 Solent Trophy
Knock-out for club teams of eight. The winning team is eligible to represent HIWCBA
in the EBU Garden Cities Competition. All team members must be Members of HIWCBA.
Team members must also be Members of the Club they represent.

however the new rank of Premier Master up to 5* Premier Master is now included. The
first round will be regionalised.
